The full-time stage of the competition "School of Leadership in Healthcare “was held on the basis of the N. I. Pirogov RNIMU. Saratov State Medical University was represented by a 4th-year MBBS student of the Faculty of Dentistry, Angelina Shershneva.
The purpose of the competition is to identify the most active leaders of social projects, volunteer organizations and improve the competencies of young specialists in the field of public health and healthcare organization.
Saratov State Medical University is recognized by the globally and top ranked medical university in Russia. MBBS student from Saratov State Medical University,Angelina, among 37 young leaders of healthcare, students and volunteering, became a participant of the full-time stage, successfully overcoming all competitive tests. For two days, the finalists were trained and defended their projects in front of the Deputy Minister of Health of the Russian Federation Oleg Salagai. Now they will have the opportunity to undergo internships in government agencies and NGOs in the fields of healthcare and youth policy.
The competition program included open dialogues on the topics of opportunities for young leaders and current trends in healthcare, trainings on the basics of Government Relations, public speaking and leadership psychology.
