More than 225 years old University, Danylo Halytsky Lviv National Medical University (LMNU)was established in 1784 and is one of the oldest and biggest medical educational institutions in Ukraine. The climate of the Ukraine can be described as dry and continental influenced climate with warm, dry summers and fairly severe winters. In summer daytime temperatures reach 25-30°C. January is the coldest month with daytime temperatures usually around 0°C.

HIGHLIGHTS

Accreditation – LNMU possesses IV level of accreditation. University is the Member of International and European Associations of Universities. University is also recognised by World Health Organization (WHO) and Universities of Central European countries.LNMU also has a leading positions in ratings of higher educational institutions and higher medical educational institutions of Ukraine

Infrastructure- LNMU hasa rich infrastructure with 6 faculties, medical college, 78 departments, 14 academic buildings, 41 affiliated hospitals, University dental medical centre, teaching drugstore, botanical garden, CRL and Laboratory of industrial toxicology, Institute of clinical pathology, research centre for investigation of anticancer drugs, scientific library, 8 student hostels, sanatorium, student cafes and canteens, sports and health recovery camp.

Achievement- University departments and laboratories participate in 12 scientific programs of Ukrainian Ministry of Health and international organisations. More that 50 research projects are carried out together with Ukrainian and foreign partners.

Ranking - Every Year DanyloHalytsky Lviv National Medical University Ranks among Top 3 Medical Institutes in Ukraine.Webometrics (2019) gave it a Country Rank of 12 out of 320 Universities in Ukraine, a World Rank of 3551 out of 27219 Universities in the World, a Continental (Europe) Rank of 1107 out of 5833 Universities in Europe.

Faculty and Staff- The teaching process is carried out by 500 teachers – academicians, professors, assistant professors, senior teachers and assistants. The annual university number of students is more than 19100 persons.About 2746 students are studying at 38 departments which include around 484 foreigners.

Hostel & Accommodation- Spread around an area of 1 hectares, 9 hostels of LNMU can accommodate 3500 students. The hostels have a rich structure with reading rooms, computer rooms, dining rooms and cafes.Separate hostels are provided for Boys and Girls.

ADMISSION PROCEDURE -

The academic year starts from 1st September every year. Preparatory courses start from 1st October onwards.

Step 1: Applicant has to draw an application to the Rector of University for enrolment of studies in the University.

Step 2: The candidate should fill the application form including full name, permanent address, Date of Birth, citizenship, permanent address, phone number.

Step 3: After getting an invitation letter, the candidate has to apply for a student visa in the Ukrainian embassy of the respective country.

Step 4: The candidate must carry original copy of documents should be translated into Ukrainian language and legalised by Notary public and by the Ukrainian Embassy in your country.

Step 5: Candidate has to deposit admission fees at the time of the admission process.

Eligibility Criteria: For Medicine Course

  • Age should be 17 years and above at the time of enrolment.
  • The exams like NEET, IELTS, NMAT not required.
  • The applicants must have cleared 10+2 examination with minimum 60% of aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology from a recognised university.

Documents Required for Admission –

  • Application to the name of the Rector of the University with request for enrolment for studies at the University on the commercial basis.
  • Completed application form (including full name, date of birth, passport number, citizenship, permanent address, phone, fax and e-mail of applicant)
  • Original of Transcript of high school or college/university education with complete listing of courses, together with Originals of all diplomas, certifications and licenses (should be translated into Ukrainian language and legalised by the Notary public and by the Ukrainian Embassy in your country).
  • Original of Birth Certificate (should be translated into Ukrainian language and legalised by the Notary public and by the Ukrainian Embassy in your country).
  • Copy of inner page(s) of Passport.
  • Results of physical examination (should be translated into Ukrainian language and legalised by the Notary public and by the Ukrainian Embassy in your country).
  • Results of laboratory test for the presence of the AIDS virus (should be translated into Ukrainian language and legalised by the Notary public and by the Ukrainian Embassy in your country)
  • 12 photographs measuring 3x4 cm each with white background.
