Jalal-Abad State University – JaSUwas founded on April 2, 1993 in the city of Jalal-Abad, Kyrgyzstan.The main campus of the university is located in Jalalabad. Jalalabad State University becomes the largest training centre of Kyrgyz Republic.Jalal-Abad State University was opened by the president of Kyrgyz Republic to provide training for specialists with basic and complete higher education in fields as electronics, energy, construction, medicine, education, and also specialists for the agro-industrial complex.The medical faculty of Jalal-Abad State University is affiliated with the Ministry of Health and Science Education, Kyrgyz Republic.
The State Medical University of Jalalabad is recognised by international organisations, including WHO and MCI.
There are 700 teachers in the University out of these, over 10 faculty members are professors cum doctors & more than 40 are Ph. D doctors. They are highly skilled doctors and are also members of National Academy of Science in Kyrgyz Republic. These faculty members are serving as academic advisors for country.Approximately 10000 students study at JaSU out of which 1000 students are from India, Iran, Israel, Kazakhstan, Nepal, Pakistan, Palestine, Syria, Turkey, Turkmenistan, the United States, and Uzbekistan.
The university Library has about thousand books. Every Faculty of Jalal-Abad State University has its own library. The library of Medical Faculty is offline as well as online. Library has collection of books of different fields. Most of the books in library are from international authors. The library also homes to video lectures by professors of university as well as other famous medical video tutors. The student of Jalal-Abad State University can access these video lectures anywhere with the help of Internet, student user id and password. Library of university is under CCTV Surveillance 24 hrs a day. This keeps environment friendly.
